Bay Area Modes of Transportation
BACKGROUND AND ACCENT PHOTOGRAPHY
Background and accent photographs of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area are a signature design element of Vistas & Byways, with ​a specific theme selected for each issue. The theme for the Spring 2019 issue is “Bay Area Modes of Transportation.” All photographs used in the issue for this purpose were taken and donated by staff members or close associates, then edited, cropped and enhanced, as needed, by the online publishing staff. Below is a list of the 48 photographs used, noting the subject of each image, where it was taken and the photographer, followed by a link to the page in the issue where it appears.
